Baby Storytime

BABYTIME: Tuesdays 10:30 – 11 am, drop-in for babies 0 – 24 months (stories, rhymes & songs) from Tues Nov 3 – Tues Dec 22 at Whitehorse Public Library.

 

TODDLER TIME: Wednesdays 10:30 – 11:45, drop-in for children 2 & 3 yrs of age (stories, fingerplays & crafts) Wed Nov 4 – Wed Dec 23 at Whitehorse Public Library. Registration only. Call 667-5239 to register.

Dolly Parton Imagination LibraryDolly Parton Imagination Library

The Yukon Literacy Coalition and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library promote early reading and language development through a preschool literacy program that sends children throughoutYukon a free, age-appropriate book each month from the time they’re born to their fifth birthday. Yukon Public Libraries are partners with the Yukon Literay Coalition in this initiative.  For more information see the Dolly Parton Imagination Library  website.

TD Summer Reading Program

TD Summer Reading Program

The TD National Summer Reading Program helps children (12 and under) develop a love of reading and foster good reading habits during the summer. Yukon Public Libraries offers free summer reading club kits in English and French. Children are invited to visit any Yukon Public Library to pick up a kit. As well, fun programming for kids is offered at most Yukon Public Libraries each summer.

The title of the program for 2009 is AGENT 009 with lots of fun activities featuring detectives.
