Author Reading With Drew Hayden Taylor

Join outgoing Berton House Writer in Residence Drew Hayden Taylor for an intimate, early evening reading at Whitehorse Public Library.

Drew Hayden Taylor is an award winning playwright, author, journalist and filmmaker. Originally from the Curve Lake Frist Nation in Central Ontario, he has done everything from stand up comedy at the Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C., to being Artistic Director of Canada's premiere native theatre company, Native Earth Performing Arts. Taylor is author of 30 published books and is a finalist for this years Stephan Leacock Humour Award. He is currently working on a television series and three plays.

The Yukon Literacy Coalition and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library promote early reading and language development through a preschool literacy program that sends children throughout Yukon a free, age-appropriate book each month from birth until their fifth birthday.
